2022 NBA Draft: Pac12 Prospects Preview

Welcome to our 2021-22 college basketball conference preview series that will highlight some of the top prospects in each major conference.

We start out West in the Conference of Champions, the PAC12! *insert Bill Walton quote here*

These previews will break down NBA prospects that are at least on the draft radar now, or players that could be in the future. Along with that, if the player has a chance at going pro overseas, in the G League, or being a 2023-24 draft candidate they will also be included.

The Pac12 projects to be a solid conference, and shouldn’t catch people off guard as they did in last year’s tournament run. UCLA is hands down the conference title favorite and should carry the conference along with the solid mid-tier borderline top-25 teams in Arizona, Oregon, and USC. The next group of Colorado, Arizona State, Washington State, and Stanford should all make a case for the big dance as well.

So who are the players to watch, you ask? We rank them conveniently for you below.

Note: Even if a team doesn’t have any legitimate prospect, I will include their projected “best” player.

Pac12 Conclusion

This is a deep league led by the powerhouse in UCLA who will be a title favorite along with a lot of teams that should be fairly competitive across the board. I believe this conference gets 6 teams in the big dance, possibly 7 with a strong OOC showing from the conference as a whole.

My top 7:

  1. UCLA
  2. Arizona
  3. Oregon
  4. USC
  5. Colorado
  6. Arizona St.
  7. Washington St.

Stanford is right on the outside looking in, as another potential tournament team.
