2022 NBA Draft Big Board: Version 1.0

It’s time for my first actual Big Board, everyone! I took a stab at the lottery before the college season tipped off, but now with some film available, it’s time to reassess because a lot has changed already. I’d like everyone to think of this as a rough draft.

Yes, we’re only ~8-10 games deep (and zero for some!) thus far for most teams and there is still A LOT of time left, so this will look much different in the coming months. I’ll stick to the top 60 prospects for now, as I still have plenty of catching up to do and more film to watch before going much deeper.

The top tier of Banchero, Holmgren, and Smith is certainly a three-man race for the top spot that Jabari Smith is very much in the mix for. The more I watch him play, the more difficult it is not to move him ahead of Chet or Paolo.

Anyways, let’s dive in!

Top 30 Prospects

Note: I marked the potential 2023 guys in parenthesis as such (*2023). These are guys that I’m not entirely convinced will declare this year, but I’ll rank them as if they are anyways for the time being.

35 Honoroable Mentions (next tier, still sorting)

This group is *roughly* in some sort of order (more or less). Mostly everyone in here still has the potential to break into the top 30 (or even higher) or even fall off potentially and lose their spot to others.

There is still a lot of film to watch and plenty of games to be played so hopefully things will get less clunky in the next month or two. I broke it up into two tiers for your convenience. Again, this grouping is very much not set in stone.
